LST Late Season Technology is all about staying warm. From long, frigid days spent in the field, to ugly early morning boat rides, LST was designed to make every moment enjoyable for serious duck hunters. All LST wear is constructed of a windproof, waterproof, and breathable microfleece over 200 gram poly-insulation to provide you with maximum insulation to keep you warm when needed most. LST wear also features an intelligent cut and style that allows easy movement and reduces bulk while still protecting you from extreme temps. The Drake Waterfowl Systems LST Fleece Base Layer Pant with Stirrups provides an indispensable base layer for hunting in extreme cold weather conditions. Part of the LST cold weather line, these pants are made with 10 oz. fleece, Drake's warmest weight of fleece. More than just warmth, these pants are also designed for comfort and functionality. The outer surface of the pant is a smooth, durable, abrasion resistant fabric, which, with the stirrups, keep the pant in place as you slide outerwear over them. The inner surface is a low pile fleece to induce moisture management and prevent chaffing. As moisture contacts the soft inner surface, it is transferred to the outer layer, where it evaporates, leaving you dry and comfortable for the whole hunt. Color: Brown. Machine wash. Imported. My first introduction to fleece wader liners was a few years ago. A friend and fishing buddy showed up with a pair of funny looking fleece pants with stirrups. He strongly recommended that I get a pair as they made a big difference in comfort while wearing his waders.

When I returned home from that trip I ordered a pair of fleece wader liners based on my friend's recommendation. I have not put on a pair of waders since, without them.

In almost any cool or cold conditions I prefer to use a layer of fleece. Fleece is warm, light weight, easy to move in and very comfortable. I use a pair of fleece wader liners most of the time. The fleece breathes and insulates. It also wicks moisture away from your body so that you stay warm and dry.

If you've ever spent much time in a pair of neoprene waders you'll know what I'm talking about. The inside is warmed by body heat. When you step into a cold stream or lake, the cold water on the outside meets the warm air inside and condensation forms. That condensation can eventually soak whatever you're wearing under your fly fishing waders.

In warmer weather the effect of condensation combines with sweat to soak your clothes from the inside as well as the outside. This can get pretty uncomfortable on a warm day. Especially if you are going to do some hiking to get to the fish.

This is where fleece wader liners come into their own. The fleece will wick the moisture from sweat away from your skin and keep the cold condensation out. And since fleece breaths, they will keep you dry and comfortable all day long. You will feel warmer when it's cold, and cooler when it's warm.

Whether you use neoprene fly fishing waders or breathables, investing in a pair of fleece wader liners is a good idea. It will be a small price to pay for the greatly improved comfort that you will experience.
